Upload a lecture, a textbook chapter, or a photo of your notes, and Brain Brew builds study tools from it and tracks what you've learned.It also hosts MCAT OpenReview, a free question bank and textbook series reviewed and edited by physicians.Every core tool is free and unlimited.

Both use large language models, but they're built for different jobs.ChatGPT can produce study material in a chat window, and then it's on you to organize it, keep it, and remember to come back to it. Brain Brew is built around the studying itself: your material stays organized in one place, flashcards come back on a spaced-repetition schedule, and your progress is tracked across every session so you know what still needs work.Brain Brew also starts from your actual course material rather than the model's general knowledge, which matters for accuracy.

Brain Brew generates from a source rather than from memory. Everything is built from a document you uploaded or a text in our library, and the model is constrained to that material. This approach is called retrieval-augmented generation, and it means the study tools reflect what your professor actually assigned.For MCAT OpenReview, there's an additional step: every question is reviewed and edited by practicing physicians before publication.No system is perfect. If you spot something wrong, there's a report option on every generated item, and we fix them.

Yes. Your account, uploaded documents, and generated study tools are stored on Google Firebase, and only you can access them. Payments are processed by Stripe or Apple's payment service and never touch our servers.
