At Brain Brew AI, our mission is to put powerful AI-study tools into students' hands. To this end, we are actively investigating the efficacy of AI-based learning tools in improving educational outcomes. In addition, there are several ongoing technical initiatives to further develop new specialized AI models.

Medical Spanish Learning Trial

There are limited language-learning resources for different professional contexts. Language learning is greatly benefited by interactive teaching modalities, and may be benefited by AI. We are trialing the platform to test its efficacy in teaching Medical Spanish. Participants will be asked to complete pre- and post-trial surveys including a brief 20-minute Spanish proficiency test. Interested participants are offered a 3-month free Standard account to take part in the study. During the study period, participants are asked to study one module a week using the resources generated by the platform. If interested, please email support@brainbrewai.com for more information.

Diagram Generator

Incredible progress has been made in recent years with AI-based image generation models such as Dall-E. However, the output of these models are very difficult to control. Particularly with rendering of diagrams with simple words and shapes, the resulting images are often misconfigured and difficult to replicate. We are investigating approaches to generating diagrams with AI to enhance education for visual learners.

Standard Test Models

Practice questions with explanations are arguably the most effective strategy for preparing for standardized examinations. In our base platform, we provide an experimental feature for emulating questions from common standardized tests such as the USMLE and MCAT. However, current language models lack the ability emulate the tone and quality of these tests with fidelity. We are developing specialized language models for the generation of test-specific questions with explanations.
